Easter Monday 2009
On Easter Monday we had the family over for dinner. It was a good time for all were able to come. Charlotte and Oliver enjoyed receiving some small gifts. The adults all had a good time over a beautiful dinner prepared by Cynthia. There was an adequate amount of wine and the conversation flowed. Thanks be to God who makes all this possible. The Lord is Risen...He is risen indeed!

Bucerias, Puerta Vallarta, Mexico (Mar.-Apr. 2009)
Our original flight out of Vancouver was cancelled. The nose-wheel on the jet wouldn't turn. The pilot discovered this when he tried to turn away from the gate after being pushed back. The flight was cancelled, we were moved to another airline (Alaska from U.S. Air), and after missing a day's holiday we arrived in Bucerias, via Puerta Vallarta. Our place, owned by Tito and Maria Rodriguez was one of 17 little villas just above the main street of the town. We were two blocks from the beach and four from the main square. The town is small and very friendly. There are many good places to eat. We found a sports bar which received all the Vancouver Canuck hockey games, so we were able to keep up to date with the local team over a few cervesas.
The weather was consistently hot. Each morning we awoke to blazing sunshine and cloudless blue skies, a welcome change from the rain, snow and cold in Comox. We walked lots, swam lots and generally had a very relaxing time.
